When initially envisioned, this project contemplated the expansion of the successful Seaport Village festival retail center on the waterfront of San Diego Bay. This expansion encompasses approximately 183,000 square feet of new construction, including the restoration of the major facades of the Old San Diego Police Station. New Amenities will include retail entertainment, retail shops, fast food, and various restaurant uses. All parking will be on site surface parking to accommodate both the new expansion and the existing Village. A strong pedestrian link between the existing Village and the expansion will be established through the use of a heavily landscaped trellis promenade and enhanced paving.
